Model “RAURIS”: The loden jacket with OTL-build, thermal insulation, and water resistance!
With this jacket, you will be prepared for two extreme weather situations: cold and rain. With our OTL-build (the 3rd layer is a free-hanging wool fleece without cold bridge) we save on weight and achieve excellent thermal insulation. In addition to good thermal insulation, the wool fleece also has another favorable property: it absorbs the moisture and passes it on to the outside via the outer fabric. Wool can hold up to 30% moisture without feeling wet. In the shoulder area, the waxed cotton saddle ensures that the water runs off when it rains and rolls off vertically down over the loden. 70% of the water runs directly off, ensuring dry shoulders.
Our Napoleon pocket is conveniently located on the front left side and is equipped with a flexible cartridge holder. The pocket is securely closed with a zipper. Two sleeve pockets in the waist with thermal pocket lining (roughened cotton or fustian) ensure a comfortable and warm resting place for the hands. Two large flap pockets on the front provide enough storage space. There is also a small zip pocket on the left sleeve. The inside of our jacket has two closable inside pockets and our adjustable mobile phone pocket.
The sleeve has a profile that gives more length and width in the elbow. This makes it easier to bend the arm and creates additional width for the thermal insulation. A two-way zipper with a cord zip and a hem pull provide warmth in these two zones. The width of our cuffs is also adjustable with an elastic band to adapt exactly to the required width, and is not pinched or uncomfortable due to the elasticity.
